A Vision of Community
The Carolina Center at Corporate Drive, LLC is the vision of Michael and Sherri McDaniel, longtime residents of Northeastern North Carolina. Introduced to the Elizabeth City area in the late 1990s while employed by the United States Coast Guard, Michael and Sherri became enamored with Elizabeth City and the surrounding area. Realizing the upcoming transition from military life to civilian living, they sought out to start a business that could benefit the local community. Recognizing a need in Northeastern North Carolina for an elegant rental space for various occasions at an affordable price, the McDaniels set out to create an event venue like no other ever in the Elizabeth City area.
Keyboards to Events
In 2015, they purchased the former Electronic Keyboards Incorporated manufacturing plant in the Pasquotank County Commerce Park. Immediately they went to work to completely renovate the facility inside and out to create what has now become Northeast North Carolina’s premier event venue. Sherri’s Alaskan upbringing can be felt throughout the Carolina Center with its numerous wildlife displays and artifacts from the last frontier. The majestic stone fireplace and the antler chandeliers in the ballroom will transport you to the warmth and comfort of a mountainside lodge in the wilderness of Alaska. Curiosities abound also with the presence of numerous antique furnishings from England. Bustling with the fusion of old world splendor and the charm of a rustic lodge, the Carolina Center at Corporate Drive has become the perfect destination in the Albemarle region for weddings, family reunions, corporate events, business meetings and much, much more. I’ve been here for two events and this place is amazing! It’s always beautifully decorated. I love the rustic theme they have going on and it’s so clean. Would highly recommend to anyone who has an event in your future. Also, the staff are very accommodating and so nice!
